The work was divided into 28 bid packages and specialist subcontractors were invited to submit pre-tender qualification documents. I visited one of their projects and took reference from two clients, also discussed the maintenance programme. A list of six subcontractors were prepared.
The essential criteria (time, construction, access, quality control, variations) of the project were discussed individually with each sub contractor. The same process was used &168 tender documents were sent to the specialist subcontractors (28 X6).
