Tender documents including all attendances were sent and the contract was awarded prior to the appointment of the main contractor.
The work was carried out in time and to budget and the major uncertainty has been removed from the main contract.
The work was divided into several bid packages of specialist subcontractors. Subcontractors were interviewed and qualified and a list was prepared for each discipline.
Civil, concrete and builders work was let as one package with quantities to be fulfilled by the main contractor.
The work was completed on time and on budget and the client (group of 8 businesses) were delighted with the results.
